I have been a member of TBI since 2016 when we moved to the neighborhood from Queens. My wife, Dorie, and I are proud parents of four children, two of whom are in the TBI preschool. We love the friends and connections that we’ve made at this special place, and look forward to a bright future for the synagogue.

Alef Bet Teaching

If you are an adult who hasn't yet learned the aleph-bet and feel that now is the moment to take on that learning, please join the Adult Beginner Hebrew Reading class taught by TBI member Barbara Taffet. This 12 week program focuses on feeling comfortable in the siddur while learning how to read every Hebrew word. The class meets on Sunday mornings from 9-11 in the TBI office beginning October 19.

Giving To Temple Beth Israel

Giving tzedakah (financial support) to Temple Beth Israel enables our community to come together to pray, celebrate, socialize, and learn. In addition, your tzedakah provides teachers for our children’s Jewish education, supports adult programs, assists our holy work of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world), organizes members to visit the sick and comfort mourners, and much more.
