Bar/Bat Mitzvah Study
Bar/Bat Mitzvah Study
With the core foundation of a Jewish education established in our Religious School, your child will easily transition to becoming a Bar or Bat Mitzvah. We structure the Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparation to include classroom work, private lessons, service attendance and opportunities to give back to the community.
Our goal for your child is that he/she will gain the confidence to read the Siddur proficiently, work with the Cantor and Rabbi in Torah study and take a leadership role in Shabbat services.
Just as important, a Bar/Bat Mitzvah should be personally fulfilling for your child, yourselves and your family. That's why TBI is proud of our unique and special commitment to an individual, intimate and inspirational "one child" Bar/Bat Mitzvah service led by and focused exclusively on your son or daughter.
Mostly Mitzvahs
During the student's Bat/Bar Mitzvah year, each student participates in our Mostly Mitzvah program. Once a month a group of students, under the guidance of parent volunteers Louise Cooper and Ilyse Wofse, prepare, cook and deliver meals to those in need.

Giving To Temple Beth Israel
Giving tzedakah (financial support) to Temple Beth Israel enables our community to come together to pray, celebrate, socialize, and learn. In addition, your tzedakah provides teachers for our children’s Jewish education, supports adult programs, assists our holy work of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world), organizes members to visit the sick and comfort mourners, and much more.
