At Temple Beth Israel, our vibrant community thrives because of the active engagement and spirited involvement of our members.
Our congregation serves as a hub where families and individuals alike find a deep sense of Jewish belonging through shared experiences. Whether you're passionate about social action, eager to assist in building our Sukkah, interested in joining a book club and author discussion, or committed to assembling holiday packages for our college kids, TBI offers many opportunities to be part of our community.
Here are just a few ways you can get involved:
- Join Sisterhood for Trivia Nights, yoga, cards and mahjongg, author discussions and to make friends
- Register for Religious School and volunteer to be a class parent
- Volunteer to chant Torah or Haftarah
- Pack 10,000 meals during Rise Against Hunger
- Read to a Preschool class
- Organize a Havurah (small friend group)
- Have in depth conversations about Israel and theology in our Adult Learning programs
- Participate in a BE A MENCH activity: donate to a charity drive, help with Mostly Mitzvahs or participate in our annual Mitzvah Day program

Giving To Temple Beth Israel
Giving tzedakah (financial support) to Temple Beth Israel enables our community to come together to pray, celebrate, socialize, and learn. In addition, your tzedakah provides teachers for our children’s Jewish education, supports adult programs, assists our holy work of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world), organizes members to visit the sick and comfort mourners, and much more.
