Dale Gindi
Vice President Education - Religious School ✉
Hello, I’m Dale Gindi. My husband Steven and I joined TBI nineteen years ago, after moving from NYC to Port. At the time, our son Aaron (AJ) was five years old and our daughter Sophie was three, and we promptly enrolled them at TBI.
I spent my formative years in the Borscht Belt, yes - some people lived there all year long!
After college, I worked in accounting for sixteen years; first for Ernst & Young and then Hallmark Entertainment. Steven and I were married in 1995 and completed our family when Harry was born in 2006. Around that time, I embarked on a new career as an educator. I adore spending my days in the company of ten year olds; teaching them and learning from them. I approach each day as a new beginning and an opportunity to inspire kindness, curiosity and wonder in my students.
Aaron, Sophie and Harry attended pre-school, religious school, and became B’nai Mitzvah at TBI. They continued to learn at TBI High. We have all cultivated friendships at TBI and engaged in TBI life in different ways. I first became a trustee of the Board in 2011 and subsequently served as the VP of Education for several years. Steven and I were extremely honored this year to be the Bride and Groom for Simchat Torah. Through the many joyous moments and also the challenging ones, the TBI community has been there for us.
I look forward to joining the current Board of Trustees and continuing the important work around engagement and inspiration of the next generation.

Giving To Temple Beth Israel
Giving tzedakah (financial support) to Temple Beth Israel enables our community to come together to pray, celebrate, socialize, and learn. In addition, your tzedakah provides teachers for our children’s Jewish education, supports adult programs, assists our holy work of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world), organizes members to visit the sick and comfort mourners, and much more.
