Shabbat services at Temple Beth Israel are held Friday evenings at 6:45 PM and Saturday mornings at 9:30 AM in the Sanctuary.

On Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM, congregants wishing to worship are invited to join us for our Sunday morning minyan. Have breakfast and enjoy the camaraderie of the “Sunday Morning Minyannaires”.

During the summer, TBI offers Shabbat by the Shore services at the Port Washington Estates Beach on Manhasset Bay.

For our youngest congregants, ages 3 through 7, we have a bi-monthly service that includes songs, interactive games and activities designed to enrich the children’s connection to Shabbat, Judaism and the Jewish holidays.  Parents are invited to participate in the service and activities. The service concludes with the shabbat blessings over challah and grape juice.

Families with young children come together for wonderful Shabbat evening or Shabbat morning services especially designed to bring families together. Services are often followed by a special dinner, or a kiddish lunch.

Once a month, we hold Junior Congregation services for children ages 8 through 11. The services give them the opportunity, along with the parents of the week, to experience the real spirit of Shabbat. The children are invited to take a more active role in participating and leading elements of the service and the lively Parshat Ha’Shavua discussions (weekly Torah portion). A special Kiddush follows each Junior Congregation service.
